Felippe Moraes

Felippe Moraes was born in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in 1988 and lives in Northampton (United Kingdom). Currently is doing MA Fine Art at the University of Northampton as a Santander Scholarship student. In 2011 held three solo shows: “Orizzonti Dell’Uomo” curated by Paula Borghi, “Construção” at São Paulo’s renowned state-owned institution Paço das Artes and “On Becoming” at The Fishmarket Gallery in the UK.

His first group show was "Sem Crise ou os 4 Opositores" in 2009 curated by Washington Dellacqua. Since than is a member of Ateliê Fidalga, contemporary art research group led by Sandra Cinto and Albano Afonso, and has been in relevant group shows such as: “O Peso do Branco”, curated by Efrain Almeida, Bienal Annual de Búzios 2011, curated by Armando Mattos, “Território de Caça” curated by Mario Gioia and "Silêncio" curated by Paula Braga both at Zipper Galeria, “Ateliê Fidalga no Paço das Artes” at Paço das Artes, and "Boîte Invaliden" conceived by Paulo Reis at Invaliden1 Galerie in Berlin.
